Despite everyone’s best intentions, accidents do happen, and can have life-changing consequences. Pupils and Staff Personal Accident cover is designed to help families cope with the financial burden that often follows an accident, and covers everything from short term, partial disability to permanent, total paralysis.The offering extends to also include any school employees, Governors and voluntary staff, who wish to join the scheme.

Pupil’s Personal Effects Cover

With an increasing number of pupils bringing a range of high value items into schools, it can be surprising just how expensive loss or damage to pupil possessions can be. Given that most schools don’t accept any responsibility for loss or damage to pupil possessions, Pupil’s Personal Effects Cover provides protection for these possessions.

A range of different personal effects can be covered, including mobiles, laptops, tablet computers, musical instruments, jewellery and bicycles.

School Fees Remission Cover

When a pupil’s attendance is interrupted through accident or sickness, you want to ensure that you can maintain both your revenue and the goodwill of parents. School Fees Remission cover is designed to meet the cost of school fees when a pupil is absent from school due to sickness, accident or quarantine.

Where we feel the cover stands out

School Fees Cover1 is designed to protect your school for loss of revenue due to pupil absence.

  • Up to 90% of school fees covered for boarders who are ill but remain on the school premises
  • Cover for up to five terms’ worth of fees in the event of accidental death of a fee payer
  • Franchise periods of three days for boarders
  • Cover for death of fee payers up to 80 years of age
  • No requirements for medical certification for absences of less than 14 consecutive days

1 - Schools must not be aware of any impending withdrawal or expulsion of a pupil which may give rise to a claim under this section
2- Minimum absence period = Four consecutive days commencing from the first day of absence for a pupil, or three consecutive days commencing from the first day of absence for a boarding pupil.
